There are a number of household codes in the New Testament. These areĀ  sets of instructions to various members of the household. The household code in 1 Peter speaks to slaves, wives and husbands.

This is an extended academic essay that looks at the cultural context in which this passage was written, analyses the text, considers the impact it has had historically, and suggests possible applications for us today. It uses Greek exegesis, so the Greek text is referred to. However, most people who have read it without a knowledge of Greek have been able to work it out.
